Reza Jalili is a distinguished software architect and serial entrepreneur with an impressive track record, including over 30 commercialized patents. As the Chief Executive Officer at Vaiu Global, he spearheads the company’s strategic vision and technological innovation, focusing on secure data communications and advanced payment systems. Reza’s career began at IBM Research, where he played a pivotal role in developing the world’s first virtual reality system on distributed workstations. His extensive industry experience includes key positions at leading Wall Street banks, Adobe, and private hedge funds, where he consistently delivered groundbreaking solutions. Holding two bachelors and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT, Reza exemplifies a commitment to excellence and technological leadership that drives Vaiu Global’s mission forward
Reza Jalili
Harpreet (“Harp”) Grewal is an accomplished executive with leadership experience across public and private growth companies in diverse industries and business models. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Volante Technologies Inc., a global provider of payments integration and orchestration software. Previously, he was General Manager of Constant Contact, where he led the company through its $1.1 billion acquisition by Endurance International Group. As Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Constant Contact, Harp played a pivotal role in its growth and transformation. Harp’s leadership roles also include serving as Chief Financial Officer at VistaPrint (now Cimpress, NASDAQ: CMPR), GoldenSource, and eGain Communications (NASDAQ: EGAN). Earlier in his career, he held finance and operational roles at PepsiCo, Inc. and has served on the boards of several companies, contributing expertise in governance, strategy, and finance. He holds a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.A. from Johns Hopkins University

John A. Farrell is a seasoned executive with over two decades of experience leading product innovation, business strategy, and large-scale operations in the financial technology industry. Most recently, as Senior Vice President & General Manager at P97 Networks, he led 70% of the company’s business, overseeing product strategy, pipeline management, and strategic investments. Previously, John served as Senior Vice President of Product and Technology at Volante Technologies, where he built and scaled the product management function, driving 80% year-over-year revenue growth. He also transformed the company’s engineering approach by implementing the Scaled Agile Framework and led the development of a multi-tenant payments engine. John’s leadership roles also include Chief Technology/Product Officer at Visa Payments Limited, where he managed the integration of Visa’s banking network, oversaw a $100MM budget, and led the company’s technology through a successful acquisition by Visa. Earlier, he held senior roles at Finastra and CGI, driving significant revenue and operational improvements. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Western New England College, where he was an Academic All-American in wrestling.

Mark Treco has over 30 years of leadership experience in sales management, with a deep focus on point-of-sale (POS) and payment technology solutions for the retail and hospitality industries. Throughout his career, Mark has earned a reputation for driving significant revenue growth by delivering innovative, tailored solutions that meet the evolving needs of retailers. Mark’s customer-centric sales strategies and passion for innovation has consistently enabled businesses to adapt and remain at the forefront of payment technology trends, shaping the future of retail. During his time at Ingenico and VeriFone, Mark built and led high-performing sales teams, both direct and through reseller channels, significantly expanding market share and establishing long-term, scalable partnerships. A trailblazer in introducing new payment technologies, Mark has played a key role in guiding U.S. retailers towards adopting alternative payment strategies, boosting margins, and enhancing the customer experience. With extensive experience working with over 400 of the largest U.S. retailers across various verticals, Mark has a deep understanding of the diverse challenges and requirements within the retail and hospitality sectors. He attended Purchase College, State University of New York.

Díaz has joined firms during critical business periods, including mergers, divestitures, start-up / IPOs, spinoff, business transformation, brand repositioning and executive management change. His experience includes consumer, B2B and institutional clients across global blue-chip firms in Banking, Financial Services / Fintech, Telecommunications and IT sectors. He began his career at the United Nations in New York City. He holds a Master of Arts degree in International Relations, International Law and Diplomacy and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Politics from St. John’s University, New York – and has completed executive education programs at Harvard Law School, the University of South Carolina Moore, School of Business, the University of Colorado at Boulder, Leeds School of Business, Wharton Business School and Columbia Business School.

Mark’s career includes 21 years at BlackRock/Aladdin, where he was instrumental in integrating large-scale financial systems, and over six years at Credit Suisse/First Boston. His extensive expertise in enterprise solutions, customer success, and financial technology integration positions him as a vital contributor to Vaiu’s ongoing expansion and commitment to client success. With a solid academic foundation in Computer Science and Engineering from MIT, Mark is well-equipped to navigate the challenges of the rapidly evolving financial technology landscape.

Andŕe Cappon is a seasoned management consultant specializing in the financial services industry, bringing extensive experience in strategy and risk management for stock and derivatives exchanges and clearing and settlement institutions. Andre is fluent in Romanian, French, Italian, and Portuguese and proficient in Spanish. He leverages his expertise across global markets, from New York to Rio to Bucharest. His focus encompasses fintech companies within the payments, credit, and capital markets sectors, along with a deep knowledge of wealth management and the distribution of life insurance, securities, and financial planning services. Andre’s work on the evolution of the “consumer wallet” has impacted over 20 countries, spanning the U.S., Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Andre’s specialties include risk management—covering credit, market, and operational risks—and credit rating model development and applications of extreme value theory. He holds a degree in Mathematics from MIT and a Master’s in Operations Research from Columbia University, equipping him with a solid analytical foundation to address complex challenges in the financial sector.

Prakash Mishra is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Wyng, a SaaS customer experience platform, where he oversees product management, software development, professional services, and technical support. His career reflects a deep commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship, with a proven track record of founding and leading successful SaaS companies, including HubDialer and Sitebridge, both of which achieved successful exits. Prakash was instrumental in eGain’s journey to an IPO, leading product management and software development efforts. He began his career as a full-stack developer at Goldman Sachs and Bell Communications Research, laying a solid technical foundation. Additionally, he has served as a full-time operating partner at Connect Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm affiliated with Insight Partners. He has been an early investor in notable companies such as Facebook, GoodData, TransactTools (acquired by NYSE), and Kaptur (acquired by AHALife). He served as CEO of SWIFT from 1992 to 2007 and is currently the Chairman of the American European Community Association in Brussels. Schrank was a Senior Advisor in the Technology Advantage and Financial Institutions practices at The Boston Consulting Group from 2017 to 2022, and he advised HSBC’s Group Board Committee on Compliance and Cybersecurity from 2013 to 2017. He also completed a five-year term as a member of the MIT Corporation (Board of Trustees) from 2011 to 2016.

Ignacio Mas is a Senior Research Fellow at the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford. He has previously served as a Senior Advisor in the Financial Services for the Poor program at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and at the Technology Program at CGAP. His prior roles include Director of Global Business Strategy at Vodafone Group, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Account Management at DoCoMo interTouch, and Senior Manager overseeing telecom investments in Europe for Intel Capital.

Krishna Nathan is the Chief Information Officer at Viasat, Inc., where he leads the company’s digital transformation and platform initiatives.
