By registering to use our service, you are agreeing to these Terms.
Vaiu is a service (“VAIU”) provided by Vaiu Global, Inc. (Vaiu Global)
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS.
- This service is being provided in support of DokuFest, running from August 4th to August 12th, 2023, in Prizren (the “Event”).
Vaiu Global Inc. (referred to in this Agreement as “The Company”, “We”, and “Us”) provides a transaction platform (the “Platform”) that issues, manages, validates, and processes proprietary transaction keys. - In order to use VAIU, you must be registered on the Platform as a “User”. You, the User, will be referred to as “User”, “Consumer”, “Merchant”, and “You”.
- A profile will be associated with You.
- We store with your profile your transaction history, account balance, personal details you have provided us, and your account preferences. If you are a merchant – an authorized provider of goods and/or services – we may also store information about your business, such as its address, website, and contact information.
- You acknowledge and agree that we may use the information we have collected from you in order to provide our services to you and to the parties with whom you transact.
- In general, our service provides the benefit of privacy. Therefore we do not share your Personal or Financial Information with other Users or any other third party, except possibly:
- The Event at whose request we are providing you these services.
- Service providers we directly employ (for example, to send you emails related to our Services).
- If for some reason we should be required by law to share your Personal Information, we will try to inform you.
Description of Services
Our Service helps You pay for things such as food and drink from participating merchants (“Merchants”) during the Event. Our Service keeps track of your current balance of Event-related credit, and it also lets you transact – adding to your balance or paying a Merchant or other User.We also provide you with a history of your Event transactions. More detailed information is available on the app’s webpage – choose Help from the menu.
Our Service protects you when you transact:
- You don’t need to provide your identity or payment information to the recipient of your payment.
- You determine or approve the amount you give a merchant or other User.
For All Users
Fraud
We will lock you out of your account if you enter an excessive number of incorrect transaction codes. We take additional anti-fraud measures which we will not disclose.
In the event we believe your account is being used to engage in fraudulent activity, you acknowledge that we may (a) disable your account; (b) deny you access to any of our systems in the present and future; and potentially share your contact information with appropriate legal and regulatory third parties.
Eligibility and User Profile
To be a User, you must register with a valid email address.
Consent to Share Personal Information
By accepting this Service Agreement, you consent to the disclosure of your personal information and, as required, to verify your status as a supplier (merchant). Your personal information will only be shared with and may be used by the Event that engaged us to provide these services, by ourselves, and by service providers we employ for our general business purposes – for example, to send you email notifications.
Proper Use
You agree to use the system and services only for its intended purpose – to facilitate transactions between Customers and Merchants at the event.´
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose or any purpose prohibited by this Agreement.
You agree not to use the Service in any way that could damage or impair the Service or interfere with any other party’s use and enjoyment of the Service.
You agree not to attempt to reverse-engineer or in any other way learn about our product beyond what a typical user experiences in the course of using our software to access the Services described above.

Contacting Us
We will have some staff present during the Event to assist with questions and issues.
If you are unable to get on-site support, please email us at hello@vaiu.io to report issues with the software or your transactions, or if you believe your account has been misused.
Termination
The System will remain available to You for at least one (1) week following the end of the Event. During that time, you will have access to the balances in your account and your transaction history.
Once the system is decommissioned, you acknowledge that we have no obligation to retain any information about you or your transaction history or remaining balance.
Cancellation
You may cancel your use of the Services at any time by emailing us at hello@vaiu.io.
Once we receive and execute your request, the Service will no longer be available to you.
Our Right to Terminate Access
Subject to applicable law, We may terminate or suspend this Service Agreement and your use of the Services at any time, for any reason, without cause and without prior notice.
Fees
There is no charge to you for using this software and service.
No Liability for The Company
You acknowledge that we are not responsible for the actions of Event staff or any other third parties you interact with, including other Users. Our software helps execute transactions, but we have no control over the actions or integrity of the people using our software.
You acknowledge that we will not be liable to you for any failures or unavailability of the software, or of the behavior of anyone using it.
Governing Law; Choice of Law
This Service Agreement will be governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Delaware, United States of America.
